Which season is this comfortable to wear? Waterproof? For heavy downpours?

@coolclothes2016 I wore it as a rain jacket in the warmer weather. It’s not lined, although I guess you could wear a fleece or a sweater under it. Don’t recall if I ever wore it in a thromping rainstorm for an extended period, but I don’t recall ever getting wet through it.

@mnorton1962 I need it for summer and spring. Primarily for heavy rain as I work outdoors 100%.

@coolclothes2016 why don’t I try running it under the faucet and I will let you know what happens.

mnorton1962
I ran the sleeve under the faucet for a minute or 2 and it did not soak through. I did notice it’s a little dirty, so I think I will wash it.

Can you provide any measurements of the item?
Oct 06Reply

mnorton1962
@emryse at work but I can measure it tonight.

It closes over the hips, yes?

mnorton1962
@emryse I am sorry, I don’t understand the question. It zips all the way up the front from the bottom. I forgot to measure it last night - got home too late. Will do it tonight.

@emryse ok, measurements have been added to the listing above. Sorry for the delay.

So, what was the verdict? Water resistant, or seriously, wear-it-in-a-monsoon waterproof? :)
Feb 05Reply

mnorton1962
@j_katt did not run a monsoon test but I ran water on the sleeve for a minute it 2 and it did not come through.

mnorton1962
@j_katt that should be a minute OR 2 . . .

I understand. It is sooo cute, and I love Liz Claiborne. But I'm looking for something that will keep me dry during extended walks in whatever the sky throws at us. I probably need one of those slickers they make for fishermen.

mnorton1962
@j_katt I think it would keep you dry, but i obviously cannot make any guarantees, so I understand. I had a Talbots navy and seafoam polypropylene jacket that I DID wear in an extended downpour, but it sold.

@j_katt polyeurothane coated. I just shaped a similar listin from @debyro’s closet but in nave and cranberry. It’s a 1X Petite.

Sorry about the slow reply. That one's very cute, but I'm looking specifically for a bright, sunny yellow one. I'd been looking at Talbots, their coats are adorable, but was a little put off by the phrase "water resistant." I have a raincoat now that's supposed to be water resistant. It's very cute, but essentially useless for anything other than a light mist. I'm sure that's not true of all of them, but it's made me a little wary.
