melissaseither What are the stones

missstephlee @melissaseither They are all VVS1, D grade (high quality) Moissanite and come with Gemologist Report. If you’re aren’t familiar with it, it was too rare to use in jewelry until the past couple decades so many aren’t aware of it too much yet. This gem has same strength & qualities of a diamond but 1/10th of price. Lmk any ?s 😊 These are all Jewel Eternal Moissanites.

fbcoram Could you do this with sapphire center stone?

missstephlee @fbcoram Yes, I can do a sapphire for the center :)

fbcoram @missstephlee I lost an antique 5 stone diamond and sapphire ring a few years ago and this ring has me thinking about a new one. The one I had was sapphire in middle and ends and diamonds in middle, but those stones were more similar in size. Do you have recommendation? I’m thinking just the sapphire in the middle in silver setting.

missstephlee @fbcoram I like the idea of just the one blue stone. I think just the center stone with sapphire would set up and showcase the blue really nicely while retaining the lighter sparkles of the moissanites to keep it from feeling too dark.

fbcoram @missstephlee thank you. My only other concern for is that this ring may be somewhat pointy. It would not be an everyday ring, but I would hate to scratch someone with fragile skin.

missstephlee @fbcoram This ring happens to my current favorite that I wear every day. I did the corners very rounded and smooth and I haven’t had one instance of it getting caught. It does have the pointier shape but without the pointy edge I don’t think you’ll have an issue. The underneath is very flush and comfortable as well.

missstephlee @fbcoram As for scratching, I wanted to double check so I just “scratched” it against the inside of my arm with the pointy edge and it was very smooth and didn’t leave the slightest mark. Don’t let the shape fool you, it’s very smooth and rounded where it needs to be 😉

fbcoram @missstephlee do you want me to order this or do you want to place a listing for me?

missstephlee @fbcoram I need to have a sapphire cut to this size which will take me 7-10 days to make it. I’ll make a listing for you when it’s in. What size band do you want?

missstephlee @fbcoram I am unable to send my sapphire to get certified for a certificate due to them being closed due to Covid at the moment & I don’t know when they’ll be open again. I can still make the ring but it wouldn’t come with the sapphire’s certificate. I’m not sure if that matters to you and you would like me to wait until I can send in the sapphire to get the certificate or if not, then I can go ahead and finish making the ring.

missstephlee @fbcoram It’s completely up to what you prefer. The quality of the ring is the same, it just won’t have the paperwork to show.

fbcoram @missstephlee I would like to get it certified. I’m ok to wait, but I may not be in position to buy down the road. That probably means that I really don’t need to buy it in the first place. My husband died unexpectedly a few weeks ago, so my life is sort of a mess right now. I have been doing some impulse shopping that makes me feel better, but could also get me in trouble.

missstephlee @fbcoram I’m so sorry to hear that. Waiting seems best and definitely can’t hurt. I can always let you know later on when I can get it certified again and you can think about it then if you still want. I’m not going anywhere & if it sticks in your mind persistently later on then you can always come back then. I pray time brings a softness to the sharp edges of your pain.💜
