laurasvanity @kle1986 yes I understand what you are asking & the easiest way to measure the costume is from the small of the waist up and small of the waist down so that you can measure on your wife from that same point. This would be the most accurate way to ensure a fit in the torso. Its 9 inches from the small of the waist up and almost 13.5 from the small of the waist to the bottom of the skirt.

laurasvanity @carynlevine the shorts are shown in the photos, you can see a bit of them peeking through from underneath. I took a look at the small to make sure it should fit and definitely should. The sizing is a little more flexible than shown on the size chart.
