lambco2012 Are there washing instructions available for this one?

kaitlynsvintage @lambco2012 unfortunately (or fortunately depending on opinion) this was probably made before fabric care labels were mandatory. I expect tweed to be considered dry clean only. I'd be a touch nervous washing this one

lambco2012 @kaitlynsvintage ha I like how you worded that—thanks! I’m not sure how to ask this but does the coat have any smells where it would need to be dry cleaned before wearing?

kaitlynsvintage @lambco2012 I dont think so offhand! and I do almost always notice when I model items. I am just starting to model an 80s collection and have bright red lipstick on. later when I have a clean face I will stick my nose in it to confirm! 😂

kaitlynsvintage @lambco2012 I just checked on any scent. I would say if you are typically super sensitive to smell you may notice it. it isnt the usual "old" scent I come across in vintage, and it also isnt what I would call an annoying offensive scent, but it does have a slight odor that om sure it got from years in a closet.

kaitlynsvintage I do typically find issues like this truly do resolve from airing out and some sun. I will air my coats that need it over the summer on my clothesline as much as possible. but I'm in Wisconsin so havent been able to do that for a few months now.
