This DIOR CHRIS 47 WATCH is vintage. Hard to explain this watch: First it is rubberized in lime green. It is adjustable. There are prongs that you insert to put the watch on your wrist. Ingenious packaging. It wraps around a lucite circle and then it’s inserted in its silver-tone case The authenticity card and booklet fit inside. This watch works. I had battery in it for a long time and put it away. I Will replace and confirm before any sale. It’s delicate and band became stiffer over time.

@alextine hi again. I was thinking that I should get a battery put in to make sure it keeps time properly. I would never want to sell a watch that didn't work esp since it's vintage. I would need a few days if you're still interested.

Hi, you stated that the band has become”stiffer” is it still pliable on the wrist or do you think it may crack and break off anytime soon?

@leolago thank you, that is a very excellent question. Tomorrow I am going to put it on and give an honest assessment. This is way before those flexible Apple Watch bands.

@wiredrose thank you for your quick response. I’m very interested in this item.

@leolago will get back to you in the morning. And thank you for your interest. I would of course get the new battery and let it run for a few days first. I listed it a long time ago with a new battery.

@leolago hello, I took a quick look, and the band seems very solid and I put it on my wrist. But I’m going to upload a picture of a little area next to the watch face but I don’t think it’s cracked. I will be home at about 6 o’clock Eastern and will send you another update. I do not want you to think I forgot.

@leolago my apologies for taking so long to close the loop. I will post a picture or two in the next two hours. And then I have to figure out when I can go to the mall to get a battery if your interest remains high. Thank you. I definitely need to make sure it runs and keeps time and that the battery didn’t explode in the inside or anything.

@leolago last year I did not notice that a battery on a very expensive watch had run down. And the acid from the battery leaked everywhere and it was so upsetting.

@leolago I posted three more pictures. It is hard to see the little pin holes on the loop into the watch face. But they are not really pinholes. It’s just a little roughness. The other spot looks like a little smudge that I can wipe off. I pulled on the strap, and it is very sound.

@leolago let me know your thoughts on moving forward. I don’t usually discuss prices in the comments but would love to get a general idea of your range since I will need to get the battery and I suspect it will be $30-$40. It is expensive where I live.🙁

Hello, is this still available and have you been able to test a new battery?
Jan 10Reply

wiredrose
@fdross3rd hi, I will put in a new battery and test it if you are very interested in it. Someone in the past was interested and then they bailed out. A battery for that watch is about $35 and I would let it run for at least two days.
