Apparently these scumbags are steady on it for holiday. Likely same person with these ten new accounts with one freebird listing in multiple sizes (even half sizes) of the exact same boot! Please go comment under and report! Poshmark us doing a crappy job lately. I’ve reported tons and they don’t remove. Please warn people not to buy. It’s the “sock” scam. Or the send a flyer with the label attached. By time you realize funds have been released. Then your word against sellers. Or empty boxes full of peanuts, or $1 socks! It’s sad that people can’t take time to get a job but spend hours scamming innocent people! Even worse that you’re not protected here!

elegantlyboho I’m reporting each of them. Thank you for the PSA! I listed a pair last night that I can see in my closet but aren’t showing up in the listings. Frustrating that people are so deceitful….how do they sleep at night?

jaquelyn2 I was wondering about that, what do you report them as? Scam isn't an option, maybe if we all report for the same thing it will help lol.

skiboots123 @raerae2014 Thank you for the PSA! I reported every one I could find. I do find if you post that they are doing transactional off of Poshmark that they get taken down pretty quickly. I’m not sure posh piss attention to the spam tag, but they definitely do when there are transactions off Poshmark. Good luck😘🎿

skiboots123 @raerae2014 you bet! I don’t like scammers on here either. Also, I just reread my prior post. That should say “pays attention”, not the other word. Lol.

melscrazycloset Do you have proof of this particular seller scamming you?
Dec 01Reply
chellesscloset
chellesscloset @melscrazycloset I don’t need proof to know that a new account posting a rare Freebird in multiple sizes with other sellers photos and even half sizes “since freebird only makes whole sizes” and deleting comments asking for additional and specific photos, is a scam. They are all over posh on spell items and freebirds. Look at each one of those accounts. And how would you have used freebirds in multiple sizes and only one set of photos?

chellesscloset
chellesscloset @melscrazycloset many people I know have been through this scam so we know the red flags. They get a flyer or box with socks in it. By the time the buyer has realized it’s past the three day window. Funds have been released. Then you have to fight to get your money back and they can’t take it from seller.
Dec 01Reply
chellesscloset
chellesscloset @melscrazycloset know often as the “sock scam” or “flyer scam”. If they attach the label to a flyer and you toss as junk mail. You don’t realize your item shoulda been delivered. I’m just warning people. If they want to give it a shot that’s up to them. We get numerous types of scams from sellers to buyers in our freebird group. I can spot them a mile away. You can scam from both sides.

deneenmarie1 Geeze I’m new here and was looking and offered a lower bundle price whatever that is but price seems to good to be true. I’m scared and wondered the same thing. I think I may just stick with the new from Freebird directly. I’ve heard a lot of great things but a lot of bad. Money is too hard to come by now a days.

chellesscloset @deneenmarie1 I have a freebird group. I started two falls ago. In fb. Freebird obsession. We have tons of trusted sellers. Only one I’ve seen Freebird recommend people to if looking for discontinued styles. You should join :)

cherryblast
cherryblast Poshmark will def give you your money back as long as you have proof. However, these ppl do need to be reported as well. Also, never buy anything from anyone who has a bunch of product. Usually means they are fakes. Been on this app since 2013 and I’ve never been scammed once. Just be cautious, look at sellers stats and go thru comments. It will save you a lot of heartaches.

cherryblast @deneenmarie1 if it sounds to good to be true, it is. Never give up your hard earned money if you have any doubt-ever!

pureblissonline
pureblissonline @chellesscloset -Holy crap.. socks.. flyer?!? What the heck is wrong with people! I am a new seller (and buyer, lol) and I love this platform so far but I have had some say they never received their item but the tracking shows delivered. The buyer never contacted me at all saying they never arrived and got a full refund.. guess when they gave me a 5 star rating they forgot they didn't get them.. Sucks to be scammed on both sides!

pureblissonline
pureblissonline @chellesscloset Thanks for the info tho because I surely had no idea this was even a thing. I was checking out prices of other Freebirds to match against mine I have listed and just scrolled across this, so thanks!!

amartrano
amartrano PM doesn't release funds to a seller until the buyer inspects & approves their purchase upon receipt of the item. So if you buy freebird boots & they send you socks or something else, take a pic & report it through the link located under the blue "accept" button. They will not release payment or credit until the problem is resolved. They will also provide return shipping. No need to freak out. You won't lose your cash unless you accept the item before you inspect the contents of the box.
Feb 13Reply
chellesscloset
chellesscloset @amartrano the issue is the scammers are clever. One thing being done is attaching the label to something that looks like junk mail. If you don’t track it on here and go over 3 day mark, which is often what happens with this. It’s lots of sneaky maneuvers they use.
Feb 13Reply
amartrano
amartrano @chellesscloset that's interesting. I have literally 1000s of buys & never had that so far. I'll keep it in mind. Usually I see fakes & what appears to be stolen stuff. One thing I never ever do is accept before I inspect. Never. Ever. I've received some real trash & returned it for credit every time. If tracking shows it delivered & you don't have possession of the item, the "problems/need help?" link. Also, one must be mindful to prioritize inspect/accept within the 3 day window.
Feb 13Reply
chellesscloset
chellesscloset @amartrano I haven’t either but I know several friends who had it happen. But scammers are shears looking and coming up with new ways to scam. It’s so bad especially at the holidays. Why I always keep eye on when my items deliver. I’ve had few say delivered I never got but I think that was just my terrible substitute driver.

lamour_couture
lamour_couture Damn TY so much for this! I’m SICK of these scum bags taking advantage of ppl! I was recently a freakin victim. I’m out $757. And NOPE I’ve not gotten my money back…yet! I’m will not stop till I get these S#!+S!!! Beware of New accts with number names & little history/love-notes. And beware of those who post luxury deals w/minimal ad info. And finally beware of VERY popular names of LIVES which have ppl biding up for you to bid, then they drop out & you’ve just overpaid for a low-cost item!
Jul 06Reply
lamour_couture
lamour_couture Beware, take notes, email Posh-Support & more importantly spread the word w/EVERYONE when you see any suspish activity, “funny” accts or ppl posting the same goods under similar names w/NO history, no profile pix or generic info on their closet.
Jul 06Reply
lamour_couture
lamour_couture And NEVER answer anyone Qs outside the app unless you know them personally. It’s an old scam when someone msgs you “plz e mail me, my Ph doesn’t download the pix properly-then offer their burner Ph #. LIES! Everyone has a Ph, computer, tablet or can borrow one at a cyber cafe or library. 😈💩🤖 BE SAFE
