mstenger1 I added a new picture. This is closer to the real color. I wouldn't say tan. I would still say it has a golden'ish cast to it. Darker than the picture, more of a khaki brown. I don't know why I can't get a true picture of the color.

mstenger1 That's another tough question. I would say hard. It is dark brown and seems to be hard, where the lighter brown part is more rubbery. Not as hard as a normal womans shoe heel, but like a hard plastic.
