Vintage Whiting & Davis ~ Alumesh Purse ~ Bakelite Handles & Frame ~ MCM & Mod! Pretty W&D Alumesh purse with (per research) Bakelite handles & frame - although some sites note celluloid. Purse in good vintage condition. Interior very clean. Not noting any missing tiles/beads, stitching appears intact throughout. Interior has original tag, one small slip pocket. Interior is deep, midnight blue that looks black in some lighting. Bag has cream tone to it, as do handles and frame. Bag has the classic "slinky" feel in your hand. NOTE: Only issue is that the metallic tab from one of the knob handles is missing - I speculate it has come loose during storage and I am on the hunt for it. A replacement insert could likely be obtained from sewing supply store. A pretty and classic MCM style ~ ready to enter the 21st century! A great back for the collector or for MCM gal's wardrobe. My home is smoke & pet free. Thank you for looking. Bundle with another vintage treasure from my closet for discount (some gloves perhaps...or some earrings...or vintage hankie....!)
