An exceptional shell lei from the far shores of Australia, this piece features a double side weave with glowing capiz, interlaced with traditional painted small shells. Extremely unusual and rare, its got a presence to it thats hard to pin down. Oversized, yes, but also delicate and light catching. Quite old, just about 22” long (accounting for shells). Has some tales to tell from the years, and patina in the form of some chipping. Remarkably intact, all things considered. Please see pics to be sure it’s perfect for you.
