Vintage Rare/Unique Russian Lacquered Wooden Hand-made Nesting Dolls

This hand-made and hand-painted beautiful item is the high end craftsmanship object depicts a traditional Russian folklore art of matryoshka-making. Brought from the former USSR (there is no such a country anymore). An expert told me that this item is hand-made and hand-painted lacquer hand-painted by the prisoners in Siberia (Gulag), and some of them still has original tag on them made by the former Soviet authorities. Matryoshka dolls (/ˌmætriˈɒʃkə/ MAT-ree-OSH-kə; Russian: матрёшка, also known as stacking dolls, nesting dolls, Russian tea dolls, or Russian dolls, are a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside another. The name matryoshka, mainly known as "little matron", is a diminutive form of Matryosha (Матрёша), in turn a diminutive of the Russian female first name Matryona (Матрёна). I have several other items from Russia, all hand-painted and hand-made, so make sure you look for them through my listings. They are very pretty and unique. I've the original box for this item somewhere in the storage, but so far I have not been able to find it.
