Michiyuki were traditionally worn over the kimono to help protect it from the outside elements. The square neckline helps to show off the kimono underneath. Michiyuki have an invisible front pocket on the right side. This michiyuki is longer than the others listed, and still has its basting stitches so it is a deadstock item.
It can fit a range of sizes, especially if you wear it as a shirt with Western skirt beneath as this helps if you cannot fully close over your hips. This particular michiyuki is a bit longer than the other listings, please check the measurement photos.
Comes with a little clutch made from the same fabric! It is only fabric so it's soft rather than a hard shell clutch.
