Sold - 50'S Hand Painted Floral Midi Skirt

Sometimes a textile will inspire me. The drive to create what is in my head is so strong, that I drop everything I am doing to fulfill it. I found this hand painted silk chiffon the other day. The under skirt is one layer of ivory silk taffeta cut in a half circle. There was enough of the chiffon to create even more than a full circle overlay. Doing it this way allows for the chiffon to float off the underskirt to create that dreamy cloud-like feeling when in motion. Even in these still shots you can see what I am referring to. Left hand button & loop side closure complete with pockets that are see through. I love seeing the hands in pockets, it's an unexpected detail & really quite adorable. Despite having 8 yards of material between the under/over skirts, it probably doesn't even weigh 1lb. Waist 31" Length 34" Last pic is the lucky new owner :) My custom creations are priced to cover material costs, posh cut & a bit of labour to myself.
