womansetfree @mrs_mchugh Hi! Unfortunately, there is no stretch to the fabric. However, the waist tie is completely adjustable and can be as tight or loose as you choose. It was challenging to photograph this aspect of it, but photo #9 shows the best view of it. There is a hole in the fabric that the tie goes through (similar to a true wrap dress). If you were to completely unravel the sarong, it would be a totally flat garment if that makes sense.
