savvyanya @janatamasova1 hi Jana, happy to meet you and welcome on this platform, I hope you are going to find it a positive and enjoyable journey 😊 so when you sell something, as a seller, poshmark arranges for the shipping/ postage for you. as a seller, you have to go to the 'orders' tab in your news tab and click on 'get shipping label'.

savvyanya @janatamasova1 then 2 choices- either you print the label at home or you get your royal mail postman to give you the label and pick up your package the next day or 2 when they deliver in your area. I find this incredibly convenient but you have to have someone who is at home during the time.

I sold something today but the buyer informed me that I have a message in spam and that I should enter my card details and then the money for the sale will be transferred to me. then I had to communicate via chat and there I was told that I must have enough funds in my account for them to verify my card.

janatamasova1 @savvyanya I asked that this is the first time that someone has asked me for a certain amount in order to verify my card and then transfer the money to me for the sale. I'm totally confused.

savvyanya @janatamasova1 by golly no do not do that, it sounds like a scam. luckily I haven't had that. I have had people contact me to buy stuff outside of the platform, definitely a thing to avoid, it circumvenes all safety protocols that protect us.

savvyanya @janatamasova1 there is no need for a seller or buyer to verify your payment details, as poshmark handle all payments, and should the payment not go through, the sale will not proceed. It sounds like you are being targeted by scammers. I would take screenshots and contact poshmark support. they are very responsive you'll get a reply in a day.

savvyanya @janatamasova1 One scam that someone tried with me is to ask me to take payments privately because they said they needed the order to ship to a different location than the one on their account. they wanted things shipped to France. it might have even been genuine but I decided I wouldn't do it because it would have meant going outside of poshmark.

savvyanya @janatamasova1 I recommend going on to Google and searching for scams that happen on this platform. I did that at the start and it was an eye opening help. I think k I was very naive. I never imagined some of the things people come up with to make some money in a dishonest way 😉
