This cute repurposed nightlight or accent lamp is made from a Kodak Starflex Camera. Its years of production were from 1957-1964. Built in Rochester, New York using 127 film. Its original suggested retail price was $10.00 with a flash unit for an additional cost. As the "Space Race" was in full throttle this little beauty reflected the attitude with its almost rocket ship design. I've added a tripod and a funky Edison-style bulb that is egg-shaped with a copper wire wrapped around the outside of the bulb. This LED bulb emits very little heat and the manufacturer suggests can last at least ten years under normal usage. What is normal? How would I know I make things out of antique cameras. This lovely lamp is perfect for a home needing a pleasant glow that is safe around children or clumsy adults, it's very sturdy. I'm only making a limited amount of these and when I'm out, I'm out.
