VTG Metropolitan Museum Of Art 24k Gold Plated Fish Cavaco Brooch/Pendant

This unique 1980's vintage brooch is a replica of the fish-shaped Rajao instrument (guitar) by Augusto Merciano da Costa from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The brooch also has a loop on the back so it can be worn on a chain as a pendant. This piece is made of wrought brass with a 24k gold plated finish and is marked "MMA" on the back for Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is in exceptional condition for its age with little to no wear showing, the gold plating is in excellent condition and it has a good working clasp. Dimensions: 2 1/8 inches long x 3/4 inches wide
