sawinokur56 Hello We are looking at your nice homburg hat. It looks like it needs some repair work though. The grosgrain ribbon is falling apart along with the leather sweatband issues.

sawinokur56 We asked our local hatter and they said that there in no repairing the leather sweatband, it must be replaced if it’s ever going to be a hat that’s worn or else it will fall apart quickly. They think they can repair the grosgrain ribbon but won’t say 100% until they have it in their own hands. With all that in mind would you consider selling it for $65 plus shipping? Thank you

kingofsteam Hi are the stitches to the leather sweatband rotted? Does it look like the whole sweatband is falling out? Or is it one little section that can be glued or stitched back? In other words, can you flip open the leather sweatband without it falling out? Thanks Kev

kissthecloset @kingofsteam Hi @kingofsteam- The front 1/3 of the sweatband is coming loose and the sides and posterior are firmly attached. It looks like it could be glued or repaired. I am not an expert on repairing hats.
