Traditional Canadian Point blanket coat, made of a heavy, dense, 44 oz woollen cloth (water resistant).
Mackinaw jackets were first made in November 1811, so called as the cloth was produced in the Mackinac or the Mackinaw region in Michigan, an important trade route during the 1800 & 1900s.
