In 1974 I sat at the Christian Dior atelier in Cannes as she was being fitted for an haute couture evening dress for the Cannes film festival It’s heavily hand beaded on silk - It’s a size small - she was 5 ft 7 “ and 125lbs- It’s in excellent vintage condition as the second time she wore it was at the 1976 Oscar’s ! The slip beneath ( which was lean to be work in lieu of underwear is a celadon creek the dress is a sea foam green ( pale green) The slip is sleeveless. It’s been in the family since it was made for my mother! I’m moving out of the country and would love to sell it before my move
