Porcelain Clown/Pierrot/Harlequin figurine, made in Italy for Gumps, San Francisco

Gumps commissioned these pieces of art by Gruppo Dei Quattro in Italy, exclusively for their own stores in the 1950s

The figurines depicts a clown in wonderful pastel colors, holding a SAXOPHONE ( please check out the small break on the saxophone) 
and horn The details, form and colors of this unusual piece are very striking. The beautiful face on the clown is adorable and will make a nice addition to any decor and will look great from any angle

It is in excellent condition with THE EXCEPTION OF ONE SMALL BREAK ON THE SAXOPHONE!!! 

It carries the artist signature as well as the sign that it was handmade for Gumps in Italy
