The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 is a unisex running shoe that was originally designed in 1966 as a running shoe. It was first developed to be used by athletes for the 1968 Summer Olympics, but the name "Mexico 66" wasn't officially given to the shoe until 2001 when it saw a resurgence in popularity. The Mexico 66 is low-cut, slim-silhouetted, and flexible, and is made from leather and suede reflective material. It combines the features of the original LIMBER-UP training shoe that debuted in 1961 and the design of Limber shoe debuted in 1966.
