Grippy rubber outsole. Very comfortable. NOTE ON SIZING: Although these are marked size 11, they run small, in my opinion. I am a size 10, and they fit me well, without excess room in the length. They would probably work if you are a true size 11, but your heels and toes would probably be at the edges of the sandals.
