Blue Floral Sundress. Made from a 1954 Simplicity pattern. US size 8. NWT.

Fit and Flare Sundress made from an authentic vintage sewing pattern from 1954. Simplicity #4670. The dress is made from a beautiful new blue print stretch lightweight cotton poplin. (Fabric was pre washed and ironed prior to construction.) The dress features a wide rounded neckline in front and back. Skirt is softly pleated in front and has deep pleats (which conceal side pockets) at the side seams. Side of bodice zipper. (Dress slips over the head, then top of pocket snaps closed and zipper is closed.) Accented with bias trim and flat pom pom trim with bows tacked at the top of the shoulders. Sash bow tie belt. I recommend wearing a full bouffant slip under the dress. My photos show the dress over a slip that I bought on Amazon (not included). 97% cotton 3% spandex Size US Misses 8. Please see actual dress measurements but keep in mind it must slip over the head with a side opening closure. The stretch in the fabric does help. Dress measurements: 38” across fullest part of bust (not bra band size!) 30” waist 46” long base of neck to bottom of hem 15” from base of neck to waist seam Body measurements from pattern: Bust 34” Waist 28” Hip 37” Care: Machine wash cool/cold on gentle. Hang to dry. Steam iron with Spray starch or sizing gives a smooth crisp finish.
