Please beware of scammers, there are a lot being posted lately here How the scam works: they steal pictures from a previously sold Babaa sweater and post for a serious deal. Once you buy the "sweater" they send you some crap that's definitely not what you think you purchased. They purposely mess up your address so it looks like it was delivered to you but whatever they mailed to you got delivered somewhere else. Then they hope that you can't figure it out within the 3 days and that your money is released to them. Please research items and sellers before you purchase. If an item seems too good to be true it often is. I just hate to see people get scammed on here. Feel free to share and get the word out 🖤

estherhanten Thank you for posting this!! Unfortunately I fell for this scam :( it was exactly as you described! I got too excited about to price to actually vet the seller. Our post office knew the package was meant for me (even with wrong address) and I was able to quickly dispute once it was delivered here. Will see what Poshmark does about it. Such a bummer this is happening!

steeter11 @estherhanten ugh I'm sorry, it sucks that this happens. I report these listings every time I see them and all of these scam listings are still up. It's getting really really frustrating and it's ruining Poshmark.

estherhanten @steeter11 I know!! Also, after I purchased and realized it was a scam I did notify Poshmark the person was a scammer and they said they had no reason to believe that and would not cancel my purchase. I’ve been reporting as I see them as well! Thank you again for sharing this!

zeitgeese Thanks for sharing! It’s easy to miss if you don’t check the seller page… I’ve noticed that they lazily pull images from active or sold listings. Couldn’t I ask what you report the listing as? Spam? (They need a category specially for this!)

estherhanten @duckymoemoe I received a disposable face mask.. lol Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that! Ugh such a bummer that’s happening with other brands. Poshmark ended up refunding me after reviewing everything thankfully!

steeter11 @duckymoemoe you know I bought a DÔEN top just a couple weeks ago that said it was EUC and it had stains on it and a small hole. Thankfully I was able to return it and get a refund.

steeter11 @meaghanlyn yeah I would check on their sales, that they have some reviews. You could also ask some additional questions, ask for some more pictures stuff like that. I just like to make sure it's a real person. Usually it seems like the scammers lately have no prior sales and they don't engage when anyone asks a question 🖤

estherhanten @itocelot I have no idea! It’s out of hand. They ended up sending me a phone stand after I disputed the disposable face mask lol. So bizarre!! I threw both away immediately. Also their profile on here said they lived in Florida but the package was sent from someone in Pennsylvania. So many bizarre things! I make sure to vet everyone. Hard lesson to learn! Their profile hasn’t been taking down. Poshmark does need to remove these profiles. I feel like they could do more.

itocelot @estherhanten this makes me wary of buying here now, I usually send my packages to my dads house so my husband doesn’t know I’m buying anything lol. But it takes me a couple days to drive over to pick it up, I wouldn’t want to risk a sale being finalized… Scary

estherhanten @itocelot haha! Yes! They also address it to a neighbors house hoping you don’t notice and that 3 day window closes. I live in a small town so the post office knew it was meant for me and delivered it correctly. It’s why I was able to dispute right away. Super scary!

meganstanger Ugh this JUST happened to me on Dep*p. I’m so annoyed. They deleted their account right after shipping which is against Dep*p policy so I’m really hoping I have a case. Came here to see if the same picture is popping up on poshmark.

steeter11 @tavazea it seems like they used to post them for 150 or less but that's changing, I wouldn't rely too much on price but more check out the seller. Do they have any reviews? If they don't I would definitely have a conversation with them or get some questions answered before I purchased. Hope this helps!

willowoya I feel like I might of just got scammed.. I jumped the gun and purchased a waaaay to good of a deal Babaa sweater🤦🏻‍♀️ I just looked at this persons profile and the only thing they have on there is the sweater! The “item” is shipped. But now I’m scared what I’m gonna find! Thanks for posting this! I sometimes forget that some people are just awful😢 But, hopefully I get lucky and all is good🤞🏽
