Augarten
Vienna's first porcelain manufactory, the second in all Europe, was founded in 1718 by Claudius Innocentius du Paquier. In 1744,in the Rococo era, Empress Maria Theresa took the private company into imperial ownership. From that moment, the porcelain of the
"Imperial State Manufactory Vienna" was marked with the historic Bebenberg coat of arms, the barred shield, which is still stamped on the porcelain in cobalt blue as the Augarten mark.
The"white gold" from Vienna has been lovingly moulded and shaped, glazed and painted by hand ever since; therefore every single piece of finest Augarten is unique.
