Ralph Lauren Fall 2016 "September Collection" Black Hand-knit Fringe Poncho

During the Fall 2016 Runway Collection Ralph Lauren embraced the Instant Fashion phenomenon with a Western-themed runway extravaganza - that shut down Madison Avenue. It played heavily on the brand's western heritage, with embroidered cowboy themes; Navajo blanket patterns; and was dripping in fringe; buttery suedes, and luscious silks - some dubbed it the "Houston" delivery. It had cowboy culture while looking utterly elegant, fresh and modern. Studded brown saddle leather harness back elements or brown leather horse bit details were added to looks that weren't intrinsically western — adding black Stetsons and brushed silver belts, for a result that could only be described as "Country Meets Big City Chic". This Poncho is no exception. Realized in a hand-knotted macramé silk, featuring three mother of pearl button closure front, and back. The fabric is lustrous and matte, draped with luxe fringe, with glorious intricate macramé details, and lots of glorious movement.
