Moravian Pottery & Tile Works NWT 2017 4 Pieces - Bucks County Pennsylvania Two Handmade 4” Cat Tiles & Two Metal Stands This ceramic tile is a reissue of an original tile design manufactured at Henry C. Mercer's factory, now a National Historic Landmark administered by the Bucks County Parks and Recreation Department. Founded in 1898, the Tile Works produced tiles for hundreds of private and public buildings, such as the John D. Rockefeller Estate in New York, Gardner Museum in Boston, National Press Club in Washington, and the State Capitol in Harrisburg. In an attempt to maintain the historic integrity of the tile production, Mercer's processes are duplicated as faithfully as possible to preserve the look and spirit of his originals.
