Absolutely stunning French art deco necklace by Louis Rousselet from the late 1920s to early 1930s, comprised of black faceted glass circles, linked together by twisted ropes of prong-set wired colorless rhinestone clusters. I believe this piece was created for Chanel — there’s an article in the February 20, 1930 issue of Women’s Wear Daily describing a new series of Chanel necklaces “fashioned of simulated crystal rings and crystal grape clusters,” that appears to be describing this Rousselet model. While Rousselet produced jewelry for many of the French couture houses over the years, e.g., Christian Dior, Schiaparelli, Balenciaga, Lanvin, and so on, Chanel was one of his first customers, and Rousselet produced a significant portion of Chanel’s very early jewelry. I have sometimes seen other versions of this piece attributed to Maison Gripoix, but have confirmed with Maison Rousselet that it is by Louis Rousselet; I didn’t realize at the time I spoke with them that it appears to be a piece created for Chanel, so while I believe it is likely a 1930 Chanel necklace, that I am not yet certain of. About 41 inches or so in length, and endless in style, without a clasp. On me, it’s long enough to wear doubled; that may vary for others depending on size. Gorgeous piece by an exceptional parurier.

kapogin @parisprinces are you asking where Poshmark authenticates items? Or how I confirmed it’s Rousselet? If the former, they have their own authentication center in California. If the latter, I confirmed it with Maison Rousselet.
