EUC TOYO Musical candy dish is of Japanese origin from the 1960s. There are some blemishes on the lid from age, but they are hard to notice unless inspected carefully. Tags say it's made of Styrene Resin.
The lid features a traditional scene
The handle is white gold colored with a blue faux jewel on the top.
When the lid is removed. the wind-up music box activates and plays a cheerful Japanese song, played in the video! The wind-up is on the underside of the base, as shown. It can be a little slow; however, gently tapping it usually helps it to kick in right. It will play for several minutes on a full wind! Very neat!
Inside are 3 plastic trays with a rose embellishment on each. All are in the original Japanese factory plastic, and all have a manufacturer tag, which I showed and translated in the pics!
This unique Japanese wind-up candy dish is at least 60 years old and in great condition! A sure conversation piece and splendid display item on your coffee table, counter, or maybe your own retro lounge!
No other seller can offer this set in unused condition, with original plastic and tags! Lucky find!
