The Architect's Tea Service was conceived by New York's Women's Division of the Architects' Emergency Committee, comprised mostly of NY's elite, during the depression to raise money for suffering architects. 5,000 sets were manufactured by Lenox in 1933, each piece depicting America's historic architecture. Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA, is known as the birth place of free speech, where America's very first town hall meeting was held.
