This book dates to the 1950's or early 1960's - it's undated but the previous owner wrote the date of 3/24/65 on the title page. It contains original recipes of many Louisiana hostesses and famous New Orleans' Restaurants such as Antoine's, Arnaud's, Brennan's, Galatoire's, Kambur and Co (wholesale seafood), Maylie's, Pittari's and Tujaque's. There are historical sketches and illustrations throughout. The cover does have some wear and aging but the book is still firmly bound (center stapled). The pages in general are in very good condition but a few have bent corners marking pages of favorite recipes and there is a spot that looks like a piece of newspaper might have been marking the page.
