The jacket is more gray than the picture shows. Dress it up or down. Wear it to work then out that night over your fancy clothes. Wear it to a cool night at the football stadium. Chilly to Cold weather-alone hat, flannel, light gloves, boots Cold Weather-layered with fleece or flannel, turtleneck, jeans, winter boots Would be a good activity jacket It would be lightweight, not too thick if you exert a lot of energy for what you're doing. And it has a hood, although I'm not sure if it has a compartment. Feels kind of light to me. Saw it described as big puffer jacket. That makes me think about being outside in the cold for long periods of time...like sled-riding people in the North. Playing in the snow. It isn't a significant filling that gives its texture. It is made up of 1"x1" quilted fabric over a lining.
