For sale, a vintage Sterling Silver Herringbone Necklace with an Amethyst pendant - from Italy. Weight: 6.88 Grams Hallmarks: 925 (Sterling Silver, 92.5% pure silver), Italy (Country of origin), SU (Designer, also means Italian product) Amethyst: Natural Stone, Round, Solitaire, measuring 6 mm diameter, 6 prong held, 0.84 Carats Chain: Herringbone, measures 3.3 mm wide. Pendant: Oval tubed, measuring 3.4 mm thick. Note: Herringbone is notorious for making kinks. I include a photo (last photo) of where a "kink" appear close to the pendant. It is easily removed by just stretching out the chain again, but it does appear in the same spot if handled. It will be fine if worn and seems only to show when handling. This will make for the perfect gift, or for the collector of vintage items, or for the investor of precious metals and gemstones. Can't go wrong with quality.
