What you get: Seven at-least 6-inch unrooted cuttings
Common Name: Damson Plum Tree
Scientific Name: Prunus
U.S. Hardiness Zone: 5-7
Sun Requirement: Full Sun
Water Requirement: Let dry between watering, once established
How long it takes for cuttings of this plant to root: 4 weeks to 2 months
Spring/summer - cuttings will have top leaves that may fall during the rooting process
Autumn/winter - cuttings will not have leaves because they are dormant
Basic instructions for rooting cuttings: (I do not include instructions with orders in an effort to help keep our planet green, so please copy and paste these instructions, or google)
Re-cut the bottom of the stem w/clean scissors
Optional: Dip the cut end into rooting powder (this will give you a better chance at successfully rooting the cutting, but is not necessary)
Plant the cutting into a container of potting soil to cover at least 2 bottom nodes (nodes are the protruding areas where leaves were stripped). Nodes are where the roots will grow from.
Water the soil if it is not moist already
Keep the soil moist until cuttings root.
Optional: To help keep soil moist and give cutting warmth and humidity, cover with a vented clear plastic bag.
To check if a cutting has rooted, gently pull the cutting up - if it gives resistance, it has probably rooted and you should see new growth soon.

Can these be grown in a pot without transferring to the ground at all? Or will they have to be transferred to the ground once they reach a certain age/size?

Also, is it true that these take a very long time to actually mature to fruit bearing?

@christizelaya They should be planted into the ground as soon as possible after rooting. They do take a few years to produce fruit.

@monicasplace so not a container plant. ☹️ Bummer. I was hoping it was a dwarf type plant. 🫤
