70s Dominic Rompollo Deep Purple Disco Dress, matching Belt with Rhinestones- with tags, like new. Textured Fabric, deep V neckline. Made in the USA Dress 1 of 2 Features Bright Deep Purple Textured Polyester Fabric with Matching Gathered Fabric Belt with a Rhinestone Clasp, Midi Length, gathered elastic waist allows for a range of sizes, shown on my size 10/12 mannequin. Listing as a Large. Shoulders have such a nice gathered effect which gives way to a rounded high neckline. Light padding in the shoulders. Dress has hook and eye closure down the middle which enables you to show some cleavage or wear it buttoned all the way up for a more conservative look. Second and third photo demonstrate this. Long sleeves have cuffs with 2 snap fasteners. Belt is fantastic with it’s sparkling rhinestone clasp. One rhinestone is missing otherwise the dress is in perfect condition and has it’s original tag attached. “OLD STOCK” Vintage 70s Size 16 is more equivalent to a modern size 10/12. Shown on my size 10/12 mannequin. * A little bit of Fashion history: Dominic Rompollo was the designer at Teal Traina in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He had his own label during the 1970s. In 1976 he designed first lady Roslyn Carter’s wardrobe for the Presidential inauguration. He designed under the Jean Roberts label in the 1980s.
