Monograms were a big trend in the 1920’s, “Initials by Monocraft" launched and developed a car crest for changeable letters. The Great Depression meant fewer people initialised cars so Monocraft personalised handbags and in 1937 started Monet jewelry. Beautifully designed and well constructed, their pieces stood the test of time. 1930’s - 70’s pieces are highly sought after and very collectible. Monet sold in 1985 and had success with vintage styles. In 2012 the brand was bought by JC Penny.
