Zaine is the youngest of eight sibling! He likes to stay up after everyone else has gone to bed, writing songs on his ukulele and just enjoying some alone time. Zaine’s favourite midnight snack is chocolate covered ants. Want to try some? Zaine is a tan tarsier, a type of endangered lemur. He has brown ears with tan in the inner ears. His tummy is white and he has a tan markings. His eyes are black with orange around his black eyes. He has a white muzzle with a pink nose and mouth. Tarsier facts! Tarsiers are arboreal (tree living) and jump through the trees to catch their food, which is mainly insect based, although can include lizards, snakes and birds. Tarsiers are small with very large eyes, elongated hind legs and feet, a thin tail and long fingers. They are nocturnal (active at night) although some species may move around in the daytime. Some species live in family groups while others spend most of their time alone and mating behavior also varies between species. Tarsiers are born with fur and their eyes open and can climb trees within an hour of birth.
