@shstandifer We’ve had frigid weather here in Chicago for the past couple of weeks. This week is better than last when we had a few inches of snow with a long streak of below zero temps in the negative teens. Our cars’ computers are wacky from this cold! Last week I let my old dog out with his coat on and socks & ziplock bags taped on with medical tape so his paw pads don’t freeze stick to the sidewalk.

@armoire1chic in Nashville our lows have been in single digits & highs not above freezing for 7+ days. Our dog doesn’t want to go out. We’re in a condo & several units started leaking from melting snow on roof. Supposed to warm up mid week to 60’s! Not good to see-saw back & forth for people, animals & plants. Stay warm & hope car computers thaw. ❤️🌼❤️

Daisies, we’re off to the Florida Gulf for several weeks with Tina Turner. We had this planned for months. Was afraid my knee surgery would prevent us from going. PT Ladies said yes, GO! But exercise while gone. I’m excited I get to visit with my childhood friend while there. We’ve been friends for 71 yrs & haven’t seen each other in 14 years. Daisies, Something strange happened to me re Poshmark CCO. Want to know if it’s happened to you. Last week I noticed I wasn’t getting Posh CCO on my email but getting everything else. Don’t know when it started. Checked all my email accounts (Spam etc). Reached out to Poshmark. All ok fr their end, getting other emails. Did it start while on vacation? So I started vacation hold & immediately stopped it…that’s the only thing I could think of. Won’t know until Friday. Thanks, S

Right now, my quest is for khaki shorts & khaki pants for two of my boys. They are both in about early high school, and are in the range of a men’s size small or extra small.

@tanner2308 This journey is all too familiar. please get yourself a support group. Don't be singularly handling this. grab a friend or two or three, pray with them, lunch with them, walk around the hospital one lap...
You will be a little less stressed and a little more refreshed. and drink plenty and I mean plenty if water to help rinse toxins. Take 5 deep as you can breaths multiple times a day! it clears the blood and the brain.

UPDATE! One week ago we were told Michael needed a heart & kidney transplant to survive. 😢
8% kidney function/ 20% heart function
Update: He’s out of hospital, living with us as he builds up heart muscle with cardiac therapy & adapts to dialysis. (future kidney transplant?). He is thin & tired & has a long road ahead but we know God heard the prayers of friends all around the country! 🙏🙏🙏

I am particularly touched by the word "dwelleth."
I receive this word as to not VISIT but to LIVE under the protection and to be in His presence. How wonderful it is to be protected and surrounded by strength, peace, and solice in the mist of a life's storms.

My husband went thru hip surgery shortly after another major surgery.
Even though he had a home nurse and therapist, I became chief cook & bottle washer. For food, meds & first in line "go for", for everything else. I was worn out.

One day, my cousin's wife knocked on the door and asked me if I needed a long bubble bath. Two hours of mental & physical rest was more than just convenient. I felt like an angel was sent from heaven. She even cooked a great dinner. ...lol my husband slept thru her entire visit!🤣🤣🤣🤣

@louannajag Hi Carol, thank you so much for checking on us. Michael has made some progress on his recovery. He is now in a rehab facility for speech, physical, occupational & cognitive therapies. We are thankful for his progress but are praying for continued improvement, particularly cognitive. God has given us the strength to get this far, he will continue to strengthen us.
