Antique, European (probably Italian), 800 silver and amethyst ring. Wonderful and unusual banded shank with beautiful, baroque style, openwork bezel. Small, open back set amethyst, surrounded by filigree sterling silver. This ring was sized at some point and has thicker band in some parts.
