Geraldine Yazzie, who is known for her traditional silverwork, was born in 1963. She began creating jewelry in the early 1985. She learned the art of silversmithing from her mother. Geraldine resides in the Crown Point area on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. She is also particularly adept in her manner of oxidizing her silver so that the patina seems to be due simply to age of the piece.

erikasclosets just a suggestion for title "Navajo 925 artisan turq bracelet marked Yazzie euc." people are flipping by this will help get this exquisite jewelry sold. 925 is equivalent to sterling silver. this is NOT made in china junk.

erikasclosets @sjsunshine the stone in the center is purple sugilite. some people buy based on metaphysical properties so you can add that if you want to description. dont worry about patina. its a little cobfusing to see other bracelets stacked up. perhaps a photo on wrist?

erikasclosets @shaktiskye I can assure you the stone is sugilite. purple turquoise does not exist. I worked in a rock shop 7 years and visited Flagstaff and Navajo lands many times. Look it up. Turquoise is sky blue out of the mine and unless stabilized over time turns a green color.

shaktiskye @erikasclosets My two best friends are gemologists! "Purple turquoise" does indeed EXIST = it's just not NATURAL. Wow I don't think you should arguing on someone's post - I'm looking at buying that and you're not helping the sale AT ALL. The stone could also be charoite. The lighting isn't good enough to tell exactly what it is and it's not in front of us. GOOD DAY!

erikasclosets @shaktiskye ok. you believe whatever you like. Neither of us have seen this bracelet except for a photograph. It's my opinion the stone in the bracelet is sugilite used traditionally in native american southwest jewelry design. I was trying to help seller bring more specific info to the listing. We can argue about this all day. I hope the buyer will do their homework on what purple stone this is. Perhaps they wont even care.
