A 14K white/yellow gold, synthetic sapphire and diamond ring. There is a cut-cornered rectangular faceted sapphire measuring about 12.10x10.15x6.70mm, weighing approximately 8.56 carat, set vertically in four heavy prongs. The bluish violet sapphire is medium dark in tone and vivid in saturation. Surrounding this sapphire are twenty-four round full cut diamonds averaging about 0.02 carat each, approximately 0.48 carat total weight (11-2, G-H-I), channel set in white gold a step below the sapphire on a yellow gold base with carriage work. Overall measurements of the mounting are 17.00x15.50mm. The bottom of the yellow gold shank measures 2.00mm wide and graduates to 3.75mm wide at the shoulders.
