Peter Soyer Beagle (born 1939) is an American novelist and screenwriter, especially of fantasy fiction. His best-known work is The Last Unicorn (1968), a fantasy novel he wrote in his twenties. During the last twenty-five years he has won several literary awards, including the Hugo Award (2006), The Nebula Award (2007), a World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement (2011), and the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master by SFWA (2018).
