I haven't posted anything to sell yet but I have had a blast shopping away. I want to thank everyone on Poshmark because in 2009 when the H1N1 pandemic broke out, unfortunately I was one that contracted it. I also suffer from disease called Lupus. Therefore, I have been unemployed since then. I have a 21yr old daughter & a 15yr old son that is blind & they are my world. *UPDATE
Well, in 2015, I got a kidney transplant so no more dialysis (yippie!)!! But...here we sit 7 years later and the darn thing failed. I'm back on dialysis and now finally trying to get me selling off the ground.
Thank you all for taking the time to read. I love π sharing information and educating. I've found that there are so many questions to be asked and I'm here to answer if I can π

No, thank you. You can actually relate to the whole change of life thing. You certainly learned to appreciate it and not take so much for granted. Your last sentence was the greatest one out of all of our conversations. My goal is to actually touch people and that is what is fulfilling to me now. I'm actually going back to school soon to get a B.A. and Masters in Social Work. It's not about Kristi anymore! I learned that the hard way. Good-nite or morning (sorry)!

@kriskris68 Wow, you look awesome! You have a beautiful family! You do mot look old enough yo have a 21 and a 15 year old. Only because I read this, I know that you have Lupus. My dad had lupus, I saw him suffer many years. So I definitely know the pain and struggles you face every day. I can see that you are not only a strong person, but a fabulous mother as well. You have two beautiful children, and they shine through their awesome mom. I love learning and gaining more knowledge. Nothing that anyone tells me about this nasty disease scares me so perhaps you will be able to help me learn of other ways we are being attacked. Wow, my ππππππgoes out to you. I get it. Everyday is a survival mode. Sounds like your one of those angels who work silently each n every day helping your cute kids. God b with you, I know that road can be soooo hard to wake up to each n everyday. My story about my son Kelley who now is challenged thru β¨β¨β¨TRAMATIC BRAIN INJURYβ¨β¨β¨my story for him is on my page. I don't have Lupus but I have severe arthritis thru out my body. It's a good poss I have MS-fibromyalgia - breast cancer survivor-severe back problems sometimes I can barely walk....but like you . You get up every day, you do your best, rest when u can, and be happy for your here with your family. May you find strength to strive on. God bless thnk you for sharing your story.

@chemy Thank you. I am doing much better than I was. Believe me, I've come a long way and tracking my progress is what actually gets me through most days. Recovery is taking longer than I can handle but I've somewhat learned to accept it. I've got new goals to meet MY NEW 100%. I'm not in denial anymore but I do know that I will eventually "live life" again!!!

@kriskris68 oh my word. This is so God. I was trying to see if I could figure out if you had a typo or I was t reading it right or what. So you are not a size 27 now. I didn't even know what to say that wouldn't come out right. Look I make no judgement if people are bed ridden due to weight or whatever. I just want to know I'm correct or not before talking. Okay so you look great and life is treating you well for the most part? I will always remember you in prayer.
So I begin to read the great other stuff about you and your son is blind? I was like "yelp" that was the sound out of me. It isn't clear that I sounded like I said that. Ha. Anyway, and please be patient with my life because it really is what it is. I don't have children. I was kind of not wanting them to I didn't think able to have them. My ex husband and I discussed this before marriage and we both agreed that kids weren't our thing. I would accidentally injure them just by being so clueless. So our life was about animals.... now fast forward to a year ago. I was told about a blind boxer at the Atlanta Boxer Rescue who needed a home. I feel like I don't think that I've not seen it all before but I had only been involved in one blind story. A pony. It was so short lived it was not anything I could speak much about just a decent amount and I'm done.
So I tell the people that I don't know exactly how to say no but it honestly was a little foreign to me. I will not be told I can't do something tho and while this person obviously believed in me enough to ask, I wasn't sure. So despite many negative Nancy's, I said yes. Enter Sam. He made my life a different life for lots of reasons but one being I never ever appreciated the gift of sight. I want you to see Sam somewhere in my listings just because you will maybe relate to the beauty of what. Eyes. Of all things. Anyway, and also see what actually happened to me that reminded me to not take anything for granted. We are blessed beyond belief.
I think your son is quite handsome. I'm not hitting on him or anything. Just telling you. =) And the girls are rocking! You look fabulous! Like adorable and fabulous. Ha. What a gift you have been to these 2 kids. I can't imagine what the love level is in your house. Crazy deep. Makes me feel so happy.
I've gone on enough but I had to stop and take a minute to share my very unexpected journey with blindness and how I have no idea what you face or ha e faced these years, but I knew to be very careful to not ever be so uneducated about our 7 senses and the beauty of each. Especially for me sight.

I'm not much of an animal person but I do believe they should be taken care of just like someone's child would be. Now after hearing about your dog, that just shows what a giving and caring person you are.
My son Kristian, has a twin Kaitlyn but they were born at 24 weeks and 1lb 6oz. My Kaitlyn is in Heaven but it was a blessing for me to cuddle her in my arms as she made her way.
I didn't get what you were saying about my size but I am a 27 now. At one point while I was in the coma, I was told I had gotten up to 220lbs with all the fluid on my body. I last remember myself at 169 but I didn't know how much fluid I was retaining.
When I woke up, I was 108 and didn't have a single article of clothing that I could put on (not that I was able to get dressed or even move for that matter). Eventually I gained 20-20lbs so now I stand 5'7" and about 130ish.
I still struggle with lots if things but as folks say, "it is what it is," and although I used to question my purpose (I was so miserable) & ask how I could go from 100% independent to 100% dependent...I finally found it! That's what keeps me going!

Oh my goodness. You have been through a lot. I really hope things get better for you. Just remember to keep your head high and spirits up. My dad went missing last year for 24hrs in the desert and know has traumatic brain injury. I took 3 months off work to sit in the hospital with him and it's just not a fun place to be. So you are a strong woman to go through so much on a daily basis with you and your family. Enjoy those new tops in that great weather:)

@klnew84 thanks for the encouragement. You too must be incredibly strong. Although I'm not on the same side if the fence as you, for about two years I blamed myself and couldn't believe what a toll I took on my family. I can't imagine watching anyone so Ill yet having to remain strong and at the same time experiencing a sense of helplessness. You must be an amazing daughter because that had/has to take an incredible amount if strength. I have learned that in order to survive, it's gonna take a lot of prayer and a lot if will. Yea I get upset and cry from time to time, but sometimes I just look at where I am now verses were I was when I woke up from a coma in 2010. I couldn't even move a finger. If I weren't here to serve a purpose, I wouldn't be here. And realizing that makes me just fight harder! After I get a kidney, I'll still have Lupus and other minor issues, but I'll be able to go back to work and live a normal life again. With that being said, after everything I've experienced, I have now decided to go back to school to obtain a Masters in Social Work. Not only will I help others but I'll be helping myself therapeutically as well. My thoughts will remain with you and your family. Prayer goes a long way!
