Men’s Alden 979 long wing Blucher. Size 10 B/D. I am the original buyer. I purchased from Style By Blaine, an authorized Alden dealer in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. Original price was (I believe) $695 plus tax, so around $750 total. These shoes have been well worn, but also well loved and well cared for. The soles could use some attention from a cobbler, and I’ve priced them with that in mind. The alden factory charges $199 for a full restoration, which includes a complete resole, refinishing, and any needed repairs. replacement shoe laces, a pair of shoe trees, dust bags, and box plus postage both ways. A local cobbler will charge $100-ish for a resole. I have only ever used Saphir Products to polish these (mainly saphir renovateur). They have always had shoe trees in and been stored in dust bags. I have the original box I got with the shoes when purchased.
