Angelo Tarlazzi was born in Italy, in 1942. He was thought of as the most Parisian of the Italian creators.
When he was 19 he created his first collection for the Roman couture-house, Carosa.
He moved to Paris in 1965 and was employed at Jean Patou as assistant to the head of couture
From there he went on to be an independent designer in New York, Paris, Rome, and Milan
In 1972, he returned to Paris to become the artistic director for Jean Patou couture, ready to wear and accessories.
Afterward he was designated by Guy Laroche to be his successor in haute-couture, a truly high honor.
He designed this bangle bracelet in the 70s for his couture accessories line. It's made from a clear transparent plastic resin in which inclusions
of gold color flakes float about in an aqua, turquoise, blue that hugs the front of the bangle leaving the inside clear.
Like blown glass there is the occasional tiny bubble pop and a slighty tactile feel on the outside.
Inside are two oval cartouches, one reading Angelo Tarlazzi and the other La Porte Bleue Paris
It measures approx. 1/2" wide with fully domed walls 3/8" thick and an inside diameter of 2 1/2".
No damage from a smoke/pet free home.
