ANTIQUE LOBSTER SHELL PORCELAIN RUFFLED DIVIDED DISH w/ HANDLE, GOLD GILT, #3138

For sale is this Antique German Lobster Porcelain Divided Dish, featuring a ruffled edge, sky blue border, a very ornate handle & pretty delicate pink roses decorating each side of the dish. The dish & handle are trimmed with gold gilt. The dish's only marking on the bottom is the #3138 hand painted on the bottom of it. The dish is large...it measures about 13.5" wide, 10" long & stands about 2.5" tall. The dish is VERY OLD. It belonged to my great grandmother, who immigrated here from Germany in the late 1800s. There are no brand name markings on the bottom of the dish, just the hand painted #3138. The gold gilt shows signs of wear & there is a small chip on the right side edge of the dish. There is also an area on the bottom of the dish where the artist got 2 gold gilt marks on the lower left side (see pictures). All items are sold as pictured and are considered part of the description. Items are not new, unless noted as such, and are subject to age-appropriate wear and tear – they may have minor use marks on them.
