This stunning 1920s brooch measures 2 1/4" in diameter x 1/4" deep and has a secure, early rollover clasp. The base is constructed of silver gilt pot metal, in an openwork, undulating lace design, which gives depth and dimension. Clear, faceted, crystal rhinestones are handset throughout. Art Nouveau in design, the openwork swirls and flowing geometric forms give a French Flair to this Antique Statement Brooch. This brooch reminds me of French Lace or European Round Cathedral Windows. Extremely fine condition. Aging to the silver gilt is normal for a 100-year-old jewelry piece and only adds to its unique beauty. All rhinestones are bright.
