Pair of art deco platinum dangle earrings
This is a beautiful antique pair of dangle drops earrings, created in America during the art deco period, around the 1930's. The pair of earrings was crafted in solid platinum and are mounted with a nice selection of ninety-four graduated natural, earth mined diamonds. The earrings were designed with geometric shapes and the diamond's settings were finished with millegrain patterns. They are fitted at the reverse with comfortable posts for pierced ears and butterfly push backs.
Diamonds: Mount in millegrain flush settings, with 94 graduated European round cut diamonds, with an approximate combined weight of 5.78 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity.
Weight: 11.95 Grams, (7.75 Dwt).
Measurements: 58 mm by 21 mm (2.28 x 0.83 Inches).
Hallmarks: Unmarked, but electronically tested for platinum.
Millegrain
This is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
Collateral: These earrings are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. The 94 diamonds are secured in the settings. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
