ARZBERG JEAN LUCE Vintage Gold Leaves Dinner Plates Set of 6 Mid Century Bone China Made in Germany Diameter- 10 inches Gently used- some of the gold leaves are faded (see photos) These dinner plates are from the pattern called "Gold Leaves" and feature stylized gold leaves on white porcelain china. They are delicate and stunning pieces of mid-century design. This pattern is incredibly rare and difficult to find. Jean Luce was a famous designer 1895-1965 and a driving force in the Art Deco movement. Born in Paris, Luce was a member of the influential group of French modernists who called themselves the Union des Artistes Modernes. Painted by hand or from stencils, his motifs were linear and naturalistically styled in the Art Moderne manner, highlighted with gold for luxury pieces. Measurements: 10 inches in diameter
