The cut is perfectly straight with the cut still lining up and can very easily be repaired by someone familiar with working with leather. - The original seam on one of the traps need to be restitched. It is still together but is coming loose. - Because of these imperfections, Cuyana put an X on the inside of the bag with a black sharpie. This is not visible from the outside of the bag.
